very motherly. She is great about caring for Malachi when he gets hurt. (like above) She loves to hold babies and care for them.
very manipulative. She can be heard often asking for the little kids to trade with her. She offers trades such as, "I'll hold your hand" or "I'll be nice to you" or "You can come in my room." I can't knock it too much, it works.
She is really a good girl 95% of the time. Lately though she has some stubborn streaks. It is quite trying but I've learned staying calm and being patient and holding my ground pays off.
My Mom pointed out to me that I need to make sure I'm being patient and understanding with my children. They have an environment that seems to change often with family coming in and out. I know she's right. Kids will be kids and I'm trying to always remember they are just that, kids (not adults).
Great insights Caroline! She seems like such a sweet girl, and I can see how this phase of growing up is throwing some curveballs. She's going from little girl to "girl"... :) Growing up so fast!
ReplyDeleteCute update and good thoughts! I have a hard time remembering to be patient with my sweet Alina. She is so reasonable most of the time for a little girl that I tend to forget that she's only 2! Your kids are adorable :-)
