A really (really) long week

Brody has taken up mowing lawns to earn some money.  Tonight we headed to take him to mow a lawn in Lake Nona so the girls and I killed time on a little mother/daughter date at Tijuana Flats, I love their queso.  I think I'll have mother/daughter dates more often, it was a blast!
Mali Su enjoyed coloring more and Aimi Lark and I were steadily eating away at the chips and dip.  I LOVE chips and dip.
Yesterday I met my friend Katie for pedicures.  I wanted one, she had a gift certificate so we made a little morning of it.  I went bright pink with glitter, you know, like Barbie.
 I love the massage chairs!
 Thanks Katie!
Beau's iPod got stolen from school today during PE.  LAME.  Guess you live and you learn.
My mom and the boys are going out of town this weekend.  We will have an empty house, not the usual for us.
The most quoted movie line in our house has been and still is,
"Molly, stay out of my room"
"I wasn't in your room"
"Then who was messing with my stuff?"
(Toy Story 3)
There is a stray cat playing with my kids through the back sliding glass door.  I someday want pets but know right now isn't the time.
I started crying earlier today because I couldn't bend over to get my shoes.  Jake saved the day.  Man, I'm emotional this pregnancy.
I filed our taxes this week.  I think I already said that.
Malachi learned to do "thumbs up!"  Last night he got up in this play place at Chick-Fil-A (with my help).  I gave him a "thumbs up" when he excitedly yelled "MOM!" from that little porthole.  He ten put his fist up to the window, looked confused knowing that wasn't right, kept lifting up different fingers to figure it out, no luck.  So he slid a few more times and then I hear him and he's running at me with a successful "thumbs up!"  He was SO PROUD OF HIMSELF!  I loved it!
Mali Su seriously is funny.  She is so, so, whimsical?  Maybe that's the word.  But then again she's still kinda obstinate.  She likes to take my mom's fan (when we're not looking) and have it blow her hair.  She seriously looks like a super model in a wind machine the way she whips her hair around.
Then she told me to take her picture because she was up in the tree like Pocahontas.
MY SPRINKLE is tomorrow.  I'm super excited.
I am excited because the girl who took my maternity pictures will take Solomon's newborn pictures and Beau's senior pictures.  It is nice to have that planned.
I love all my young friends with lots of kids like me.

I did 4 hair cuts this week.

I learned this week,
I am only capable of so much during the day.
(schedule only 1 thing a day, not 2)
Being pregnant and with a husband in school, it's not fair to either one of us.

Comments

  1. I so feel you with the pregnant emotions! I had to have Lee help me remove my toe nail polish yesterday, then I tried painting them again and wanted to scream by the time I was done! It sounds like you had a very eventful week! I am the same way, planning more than I probably should sometimes, but I hate having nothing to do!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
