Shilligs Visit

Jake's parents and some of his siblings stayed with us when they visited this weekend from California. Gunnie our cat seemed to act out due to so many new people in her environment but I think she is now recovering. During the family's stay the girls enjoyed doing so many fun things with them. Every time someone went to get something from their van the girls wanted to go, Uncle Isaac had cool music on his phone the girls enjoyed listening to,

and Uncle Luke was on the computer and so of course they had to talk to him with Grandpa.

    You had a full house! I love when I have family around, I hope it was a nice visit! (or is? I don't know if they've already left)

    PS. That was Kenny about the bows comment but you probably know that b/c you know how he is about those!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

 We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
