PLAYGROUP!

I love playgroup in my ward! It is always so fun to come up with ideas to do with the ladies and children I go to church with. Today we made reindeer shirts. I did this activity when I ran a daycare from my home in Monterey, CA. I was excited to do these shirts with my girls. I was however disappointed in the selection of craft supplies at Wal-Mart. I still need to buy bells to put on the bows so they will be even MORE festive! In case you are curious we stamped the feet with fabric pain in brown for the face and then the hands in black fabric paint for the antlers. Dress up the face with a red nose and black eyes and you have a cute reindeer!

  4. So cute!! That is so fun that your playgroup does fun things like that!! I wish we had something like that here. What a great idea!! If you ever need craft supplies, Robert's is a great place to go and they always have discount coupons. Most Monday's it is 50%off, and they just have them there for you to use!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
