OUR TWO DAUGHTERS...

I truly love my girls so very very much! It is so much fun to be able to spend time with them.

Today church was GREAT! Aimi Lark and Mali su were so well behaved.

I spent most of Relief Society keeping Mali Su's head positioned to the right. She sure fought against it!

We have been trying new places in the chapel, during Sacrament Meeting, to sit so that Aimi Lark is the best behaved and so that we are not "those parents" as my friend says. Because ever since she has started walking she is EVERYWHERE. We had to move from our normal seats on the front row due to the fact that she loved climbing the stairs to the stage way too much. We then tried the very back row (sitting in folding chairs) and she then enjoyed playing with other kids and the exit doors. So today I made a dash for the chapel to find a "new" seat and I found a short row on the right hand side. Jake and I took our positions on each side of the pew with the girls in the middle. Today was the first time in a long time that Aimi Lark sat through sacrament! I did take Mali Su out to nurse her but came back to find all well on our pew.

I am extremely grateful to be at church every Sunday. It is definitely a trying three hours at times but I can honestly say that it is worth it! I truly know that the teachings of Jesus Christ will make you happy. I am so grateful for the happiness in my life and I know that everyone can have that same happiness.

  2. Man the girls are getting so beautiful! I definitely know what your saying about the church pew thing! We have to sit in the right or left hand side short ones as well, it's so much easier to keep the kids in line when you sit there. We do the Kurt on one side and me on the other as well....lol! Funny how you have to figure out methods to make it more of a reverent experience. Love you.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
