finals week...

So this week has been a bit crazy. Jake has had finals going on since last week and boy can we feel the stress! I am not even taking finals and I am stressed so I can only imagine the way my poor poor hard working husband feels. Last night (well actually early this morning) after nursing Mali Su I got back in bed only to hear/see Jake sit up and put his right arm in the air like he was going to do one of those shake hands/one armed hug things guys do. He sat up made that motion and said,
"HEY CHECK IT OUT CADET
(WITH HIS RIGHT ARM RAISED UP)
HOWS IT GOIN' BRO? I'M WITH YOU!"
and then went back to sleep. See what finals can do to you?? They can make you lose your mind.

But other than that all is well. I have been trying a new hair bow style with the girls and that is fun. I clip the bow directly in the little bit of hair on top and don't use a headband. Fun for me haha.

This is Jake last night after his sleep talking incident...

Aimi Lark is angry because everyone is studying and not playing with her and also because of their studying she can't take a nap which she so desperately needs...

like my new do??

CRUNCH TIME!!!

I just want to add a side note and that is that my husband is AMAZING! He works full time, goes to school full time, does ROTC, drills once a month, serves at church, has us three to take care of and is always doing it with a SMILE! I am so grateful for him and all he does to put food on the table and keep us covered with insurance and works hard so that I can stay at home with my babies!!! THANK YOU JACOB! We are so blessed!

  1. What an amazing husband! Sounds like he needs a vacation. (I hear FL is nice this time of year. hint, hint lol) As for the bow...love the new do. My mom used to use toothpaste to put bows on our heads and, I think, Sarah used Elmer's Glue. LOL I think your way is much cleaner!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
