we are in PROVO, UTAH and getting settled in as best we can with our few suitcases. Aimi Lark and i are so sick! Jake brought home some "army" cold and those are the WORST! needless to say we do not feel our best.

our household goods will be here from MONTEREY, CA... Saturday morning at 10 am. We are so excited because they could have taken all the time in the world!

Jake is doing well with what he has left at FT Huachuca. He called yesterday and told me that during formation they called out his name and another guys and two Drill Sgts said that each cycle they are in charge of they choose two soldiers who are squared away and do a GREAT job. Jake was so happy to be one of those two. He received a DS medal. When it was over all the other soldiers were yelling "good job shillig" but not anything to the other guy because they say he is a (how do you say this nicely? i don't know so here it is!) a suck up. I am so proud of jake and his accomplishments!

Heavenly Father is always taking care of our family and I am so grateful for that. Thanks for everyone's excitement over all our good news!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

 We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
