Shillig 4 Family

 We had a good amount of snow (that didn't stick) but was fun to see and make a tiny snow man with. North Texas has some interesting weather that's for sure!

We had breakfast in shifts at the hotel so that Leila Jin could stay in the room.  She really loves white fluffy beds so we joke she likes to lay in the clouds.  We had some time to kill so we headed to campus for souvenirs.  (clothes and cinnamon bears to be more specific)   It's so fun to see how BYU is always changing and updating and staying relevant.  A picture with Cosmo the Cougar is always a must! As we were driving through rural Utah to get to Manti we saw this gorgeous snow covered field with gold.  Mali Su said it matched her and asked for a picture.  Her feet froze and Jake ended up with snow in his shoes, but it was worth it. Aimi Lark stayed in the car with Leila Jin so we could have this special one on one time with Mali Su.  I crave this time with my kids and I think that it's good for them too.  Mali Su had the sweetest spiritual experience as we were walking up the side of the temple to the back where t...

The kids made sure she had a bow on her head for morning drop-off. Even in her pajamas she wears a bow. Malachi's 5th grade field trip via charter bus to the caverns! Solomon went to see the nutcracker! He and Grace are in the same grade! I love their school!

Solomon "She has a MoHOG because of her hair on top" Jake said she was born in the year of the pig (haha) MoHOG = MoHAWK Malachi comes downstairs after I call for him and he says he’s holding LJ. I say to put her on my bed and come down. He said, “She’s really rooty” I respond, “I know!  She’s always really rooty” They REALLY love her!

I have no words for how amazing this day was. It reminded me of Aimi Lark's blessing day in the way that I felt so unprepared, but that it was perfect.  I do wish we had taken pictures on Aimi Lark's day, but we've learned with age and Jake was super camera man and took over the big camera all day.  I am so grateful for him.  He knows what I want and need and makes sure and takes care of it for me.  Leila Jin wore the dress that her sisters anc cousin Ada wore.  My Mom added shoes and a blanket so now she has her own special pieces.  The dress has antiqued with age, but it's such a treasure to me.  Jake gave her the most beautiful blessing of seeking for truth in her life.  I am so glad that I get to be her Mama.  After church everyone came back to our house for burrito bar.  Who doesn't want to play with "cousins" and hold a cute baby and eat yummy food in a loud house with perfect fall weather!?
