Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

Posted 2/6/19 on a quest to catch up all the posts in my drafts folder on my blog that I never posted

Aimi Lark loses a TOOTH @ 5 Years 10 Months and 1 Day

Daddy wiggled it A LOT today.  Then tonight at the trunk or treat, SHE SWALLOWED IT while eating a cupcake. Tonight when we got home she asked me to help her write a note to Jake.  In Jake's family growing up they could leave the tooth for the tooth fairy or give it to their Dad for more money.  Aimi Lark wanted to give it to her Dad.  She wrote him a sweet note and he gave her $10 (I think that's the only cash he had).  Good thing she naturally has an extra tooth so losing this one will not be big deal. You're such a big girl Aimi Lark!

Ward Trunk or Treat

He and his hair were just made to play THOR. Our ward trunk or treat was BUSY, CROWED, and just kinda insane.  I felt a little overwhelmed and stressed the entire time.  I wanted to leave early on but we were diligent  watched our kids like hawks and stuck it out for the most part.  We left before the candy part so I picked up fixings for root beer floats for the kids and they ate the few pieces of candy they had and were happy.  Night = SUCCESS!
Jake got me an elliptical.  I am excited.  It was from my friend Katie's Facebook garage sale site.  It's genius.  People in her neighborhood sell their stuff via a Facebook group. I can't bring myself to do anything while it's still dark outside.  My kids get up at 6 when Jake and Aimi Lark get up for school.  I just put in a movie, keep the lights off and catch up on blogs/email while they relax.  This morning I worked out on my new elliptical. I don't know if I mentioned this but I am now in charge of the Family Readiness Group for Jake's unit.  I might have already done some things wrong but hopefully I'll hear back from someone today and will figure this out.  Talk about stressful! Jake and I are going on a date!  We got some free gift certificates for dinner from a friend and I can't wait to use them.  Seeing as our weekends have been booked with Army and visitors I'm excited to have Jake to myself fo...

Mermaids?

Mali Su:  "Why do we have to eat Mermaids, Mom?" Malachi:  "Yeah, Mom, Why do we have to eat Mermaids?" The kids are watching Peter Pan so I figured the above conversation was in regards to the Mermaid scene in the movie.  Then I look over and see Mali Su holding up a can of tuna. Hilarious.

VOTING 2012

and baking Halloween cookies.  That goes together, right?   Jake called me SO EXCITED on Monday because when he was filling out his ballot he came across his MOM'S NAME!  He was so excited to vote for  HIS MOM for SCHOOL BOARD.   It was the cutest thing.  Once again one of the things I love most about my husband, his excitement for life.  Let's look at that again, real close.  I know it's probably socially "not ok" to post who you vote for.  I learned in school this is a secret.   BUT I think the "Romney" sign we had in our yard for 6 months pretty much already let everyone know who we were voting for.  Although, Roseanne Barr was a close second,   NOT! I love voting! I love Halloween cookies. I love my family!

Sleeping

Solomon sometimes shuts himself in his room to play.  I went in to check on him and found him in his bed asleep.  He got in his crib all by himself and went to sleep.  I was so sad to notice he had a muddy diaper so I tried to change it while he laid sleeping.   IT WORKED!  He was that tired.  The next morning I found Mali Su asleep in the living room chair under the cushion. Silly sleeping kiddos.
