Christmas Eve Morning

We went swimming.  That face right there is why I love him.  His excitement for life.  His enthusiasm for everything he does.  Even swimming in our quite chilly pool.   Mali Su discovered her own little cave and brought Daddy with her for a swim under the boat. In the 80s on Christmas, not sure how I feel about that, but I'll make the most of it.

I just cried

I'm so proud of him. Merry Christmas everyone! Thanks to whoever lent them their phone on Christmas. I know he gets to be "adopted" by a family today.

Our Room

Jake got me a new comforter for Christmas.  I, of course couldn't wait to put it on our bed.  It's luxurious feeling.  We have had the same comforter for about 7 years now, maybe longer since we'll be married 8 years in February.  My friend Katie helped me jazz up a frame I got for free at a yard sale with the lovely monogramming idea I had.  I love how the room is.  I always wanted a hotel feeling to my bedroom and now with my little sitting area on my side of the bed and the new bedding it's there!  Thanks Jake.

Christmas with Mia and Brody

Mali Su clumsily broke the necklace she had wrapped for Mia, while it was still in the wrapping paper. Malachi broke the one of a kind wooden truck (that rolls) Brody made in wood shop.  Luckily he says he can fix it. Jake tore Mia's new sweater while trying to remove the security tag GAP forgot to.  You can bet I'm taking it back to them. It was one memorable night. I was putting Solomon to sleep and came out to find Jake on his game during some of this joyous commotion. I turned it off without letting him save it.  Is it bad that felt really good?  Luckily we all laughed it off, he could've been angry. Merry Christmas!

The Meadows Family

They make for GREAT babysitters. Which means GREAT date nights with my sweet husband. Kendra had the house as clean as I left it with 3/4 kids in bed when we got home.  I was impressed and she let us know she'd love to babysit for us ANYTIME.  The next day we brought Kendra home and partied it up at Katie's house.   We've got a lot of kids, but in my book more kids = more FUN! It's almost CHRISTMAS! We're watching ELF to get in some holiday giggles.
