Christmas Eve 2009

We had a great night of making and eating goodies. The Jarrells even brought BLUE BELL ICE CREAM all the way from Texas ( courtesy of some dry ice and a cooler). The Lunts stopped by! We then watched Elf and everyone finally crashed on the floor awaiting the arrival of Santa Claus.

What we have been up to...

I put Jake's "gold bar" on his ACU uniform the other morning before he left for work. I even gave it a nice punch like you are supposed to. Kayla is staying with us and Aimi Lark is loving every minute of having her around. The jewelry, the make-up, endless possibilities when you are almost 3! Malachi is still not a big fan of baby food but he does enjoy these little wheat teething biscuits I picked up for him. He has had 2 of them now and LOVES IT! The Jarrells arrived Tuesday night. I put Malachi in front of our mirrored closet doors in the morning while I get ready, make the bed, and all that kind of stuff. He loves his "friend" in the mirror. The other day I gave him Jake's transformer to play with, a solid 30 minutes of entertainment! Jake had some friends over from work to play XBOX and while they were here Mali Su fell asleep on the playroom floor! Christmas is TOMORROW!

Temple Square

We met up with the Jarrells at Temple Square after taking the kids to the Children's Museum at Gateway Mall. When we were driving towards Temple Square Jake asked "Wouldn't you just rather drive around Temple Square and see the lights?" and I told him he says that EVERY year! He said he must think the same thing every year about walking around in the cold with the kids! I love visiting Temple Square so much! This year we got great parking and met up with the Jarrells at the Christus statue. As soon as we came in the room with the large statue of Christ Mali Su's face lit up and she pointed and said, "JESUS!" We then began our journey of walking around and seeing the nativity where there are spotlights at each point of the story of Christ's birth while over the loud speakers you can hear the story. Whenever Aimi Lark hears something she will put her hand over her ear and ask us, "You hear something?" and she did the same while li...

Children's Museum

We decided to go to the Children's Museum before heading to Temple Square. We bought season passes a year ago and haven't been in probably 6 months! It was amazing to see how much the girls had grown and watch them see everything through new eyes! Malachi just wanted to eat the blocks, and even the big boys seemed to enjoy themselves!

"SKEEDING"

Today was the last day in Utah for Tim and Tyler. First thing this morning Jake, his dad, his brother Isaac, and my brothers Tyler and Brody headed up to Sundance to go skiing/snowboarding. My dad stayed behind and spent the morning with me and the kids. He took me and Aimi Lark to lunch (Aimi Lark choked on a chip and threw up EVERYWHERE, poor girl) before we too headed up to Sundance so that Aimi Lark could try her hand at "skeeding" as she called it. When we arrived we first saw Uncle Tyler and he got to the bottom of the hill and looked like this. He was EXHAUSTED! Snowboarding is way rough your first time I hear. Aimi Lark was so excited to see Jake and ran right to him (after he sprayed us perfectly with some snow). I then took Aimi Lark and had her fitted for her skis and got her lift ticket. When we got back to the slopes we met up with my dad and Tyler and waited for Jake to make it back down. While we waited I helped Aimi Lark with a little "mini-lesson....

AGGIE PRIDE

My brother Tyler brought the kids some shirts from College Station that said: "Somebody at Texas A&M University loves me."
