Random Thoughts about Disneyland

On our way to Disneyland for the first time Aimi Lark was running from our hotel room through Downtown Disney saying "Hurry!" as she pumped her little arms and ran and said, " Ona ride Disneyland!!" Aimi Lark woke up the next two mornings and said " Ona ride train to Disneyland" and it made me so happy and made the trip completely worth it. Mali Su pitched fits while in line for rides, when she got on the ride, when she got off the ride, when she had to get in her stroller and when she had to get out of her stroller (this was the exact scenario for the Peter Pan ride). Malachi was a trooper and slept and slept and slept. I think the first day the sounds of Disney startled him a bit but after that he just SLEPT. Staying at the Disneyland Hotel was the best thing we could have ever done. I thank Jacob for the idea because I would have found us some cheap place down the road not a nice place yards from the monorail that took us INTO the park! We were...

3 Months Old

My little Malachi is 3 months old! He smiles so much. It lights up my day when he smiles. He is favoring looking left but not as bad as Mali Su did. We are working on making sure he looks right more. He was 16.6lbs before we left for vacation. His sisters love him a TON! But he doesn't always love their attention so much. He is a mover and a wiggler. I love my little man so much!

Day 3 at Disney

Quick, to the point, and exhausting. We got there early and the lines were shorter so we hit up the Buzz Lightyear ride, the carousel, Peter Pan ride, Malachi slept (as he did the other two days), Mali Su pitched fits (as she did the other two days), saw the much anticipated (by Caroline) Playhouse Disney LIVE on Stage (the girls LOVED it!), rode California Screamin ' with the boys' fast passes, and we bought souvenirs, then had lunch at In-n-Out before hitting the road back to Frazier Park.

Day 2 at Disney

We were joined by the Shillig 3 Family! We met up with them and headed through Downtown Disney from our hotel to the park. We met up with the three older kids, Elliana , Beau, and Brody, who had been exploring the park since before 8am, because hotel guests get in extra early. Our day with the Shillig 3s included: -A stop at the Castle -Fantasy Land to ride DUMBO a.k.a BABY ELEPHANT -Getting stuck in Tomorrowland because of a power outage BUT it was awesome because Emmitt was picked for JEDI TRAINING! He was TOTALLY the BEST Padowan ! And YES that IS Emmitt fighting Darth Vador ! -Swimming in our hotel pool -Dinner at In-n-Out -Got snacks and sweaters in preparation for the FIREWORK SPECTACULAR!!! -Firework watching from the Monorail, we could not have timed it better. The view was AMAZING and Aimi Lark would squeal LOUDLY with glee and clap her hands every time the fireworks would burst in the sky. It was precious. -Catching a couple more rides ( NEMO submarine ride, an...

Day 1 at Disney

Included: -Check-in at the FABULOUS Disneyland Hotel (totally recommend it) -Got our tickets and took a quick tour of the park (the girls did not like Pluto but LOVED the gift shop in Toon Town) -Grabbed lunch at In-N-Out -Checked out the pool from our hotel room balcony -Took the monorail (that was only yards from our hotel) back to Disney -Rode rides such as Space Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, and checked out a 3-D show before redeeming our fast passes for Buzz Lightyear (Jake's favorite) I think our 1st day was a success!
