Vacation to Texas begins...

MONDAY (8/25) We flew out of SLC after Jake got off work to IAH. The girls did surprisingly well on the flight. We both sat by younger guys on the flight and I was surprised at how tolerant and nice the guy next to me was but Jake later told me that he overheard the guy in the bathroom telling someone that he saw "this lady getting on the plane with a little girl and was thinking... please don't sit by me and sure enough they(me and aimi lark) did!" it cracked me up. We made it safely and drove to Beaumont for the night. OH I forgot to say that we did our traditional "Whataburger" stop on the way home...YUM! When we got home Aimi lark crashed in the "big girl bed" she is sleeping in this trip and Mali Su played for awhile in the walker.

A note from Jake:

Mom and Dad... look what you are missing in Utah... Sell your house and move here :)

6 hours later...

The boys returned home from golfing. Jake, Kenny, and Marlyse's dad went golfing and ended up playing WAY longer than expected. Us girls were ready for them to get home and when they did we all enjoyed an evening together.

Super cool

Jordan dear

Jordan (Seth and Larkie's daughter) has been at our house a few times lately and I wanted to share some pictures. Jordan trying to share some food with Aimi Lark. Aimi Lark was "mouthing" the word "HI" to her from the high chair and it was really funny to watch. While at our house Larkie needed to trim Jordan's nails so Uncle Jake helped in distracting Jordan by showing her his TEETH over and over again! Madilyn came over to see what all the commotion was about.

Baking extravaganza

Today Audrey and I spent the day doing some very enjoyable and productive things. We first ground wheat to make bread. We made the famous "Marcinelle" bread as I like to call it. It turned out GREAT and got even better when Larkie came over with her bread slicer and sliced it for us. After making bread we attempted a peach pie/cobbler dessert. Audrey made the crust and I made the filling. It turned out beautifully! After baking we did a workout and some laundry. All in a good days work!
