Porter Run and Chilean Ceviche

I didn't get photos of the boys from this run, but thanks to the girls' teachers/friends I got some of them. This is one of the draw backs of working full-time outside the home, I miss stuff at the school. I don't have "mom guilt" but I do sometimes wish I could be there more for these little things. My mom always worked and I never felt neglected or like she missed things. I think I just need to realize that the kids are having fun at school and it's ok that I am not always able to be there for each event.

Their new school has LOTS of homework, but that is what comes with a 10 school.

I am not quite sure why they end up sitting on the stairs, but it's cute when they do.

Tia Cristy made us some much anticipated Chilean Ceviche and it was all we hoped it would be!

Mali Su made the sweetest cards to go along with our beautiful meal. I am so grateful for the effort they put in for our meal.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween! Possibly ever! Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully. He even had the cutest song he sang. I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
