This Man of Mine

He drives me completely batty.
Sometimes I just want to scream at him (and do).
Is our marriage perfect?  probably not
Do I think our marriage is perfect?  absolutely
 I am the first to tell everyone marriage is hard work.
Hard work that is so worth it!

I love him.
I really really do.
Even if he drives me bonkers (with his incessant singing & crazy ideas),
he also makes my heart skip a beat.
It's a fine tuned balancing act.
 I make sure we are always watering the grass 
to keep our marriage grass green, green as can be.
 Can I improve?  of course
does he think I'm perfect?  absolutely
Do I think I chose just the right man for me?  without a doubt in my mind



Lately this song makes me think of the way Jake must see me
(the PG version of course because like any country song they throw in an alcohol reference)

Thank you for your patience with me.
Like the song says "there ain't no one more beautiful angry"
I think that's your motto
Thanks for the laughs through all the hard times my dear husband.
I love you.
Thank you for this life we've made together!
When all this crazy settles down, let's do this!

    That surprises me, I wouldn't have guessed you scream. Then again I guess that might be all of us mothers dirty little secret.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

 We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
