UPDATE...

Well it is Saturday and my husband is done with his training for the day but because of this lovely gun he has to carry around with him we cannot be together today. Needless to say it is frustrating!! He called me earlier and said he felt he almost was a "heat casualty." That is when you are heat exhausted. They marched around for five hours in full gear and weapons today and it is so hot here right now. Our rain has been gone for two weeks now and when the rain is gone the triple digits return.

On another note Aimi lark and I leave this Thursday for the Sarager's home and will be there for a week while jake lives in the desert. I am excited to be in a city for awhile with everything I could possibly want to do within 5 mins. of me! even CAFE RIO! It will also be fun to swim and just enjoy a REAL home.

We are still working on jake securing a job for when we return to Provo, UT. He had a translation job lined up but the UT guard is having some issues right now b/c of a possible deployment so things are kinda crazy. Jake has applied with a few places with the guard so we will keep you posted.

Aimi Lark is just rolling all over the place. She is getting really good at feeding herself her snacks. She can pick them up with her index finger and thumb and slowly bring them to her mouth. It is so fun to watch her. Sitting up and crawling I'm sure will be coming but by the looks of things not anytime soon and we are just fine with that. She can stay our little baby as long as she would like!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
